Getting between terminals

Newark's three terminals are not physically joined. United runs a post-security shuttle between A, B and C, and staying inside the secure area avoids re-screening — but Terminal B screens at each concourse separately, so arriving there can still mean a checkpoint. The AirTrain linking the terminals is being replaced under a multi-year project (weekday 05:00-15:00 outages substituted by buses as of late 2026), so it cannot be assumed available. Treat another terminal's lounge as possible but not assured, and check on the day.
